Bodega LAN Gran Reserva Rioja

Description

Bodegas LAN  Rioja is produced on a  spectacular setting, 72 hectares embraced by a curve of the River Ebro, on the natural border between the Rioja Alta and the Rioja Alavesa.  A terroir marked by its location, sheltered by the Cantabria Mountains, it is naturally protected from frost and extreme summer heat.

Made from  94% Tempranillo and 6% Mazuelo, crafted from vines of more than 40 years of age, fermentation take place in stainless steel tanks with temperature control and long maceration to ensure all the aromatic potential and tannins. It then spends 24 months in barrel and a further 36 months in bottle to refine and round off the wine.  Deep garnet red with a ruby rim. On the nose, notes of very ripe fruit – plum, figs and fruit compote – stand out. All enveloped in notes of vanilla, caramel,
black pepper and smoke. An elegant and well-structured wine, with ripe, sweet tannins on the palate, this wine is good for a few more years!!
